A glimpse of the 2009 event:

On Saturday, March 28, 2009 Global Pathways Project hosted its third annual fundraiser. The Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park & Museum in Fells Point provided plenty of ambiance with its beautiful views of the Baltimore harbor and surrounding cityscapes. The evening kicked off with a VIP reception featuring a 4-course tasting menu prepared by Chef Orlando Hitzig of Mark & Orlando's Restaurant in Washington D.C. Wine connoisseur and educator Jim French presented wines matched to each course, while local musician Ken Kolodner provided relaxing and enchanting music on the dulcimer.

The main event kicked off at 7pm with guests being greeted to a champagne cocktail, an official GPP passport, and some lively tunes by Ken Kolodner. It wasn't long before things were going full swing with plenty of guests bidding on the silent auction items, moving on the dance floor, and partaking of all the delicious food and drink! Sponsors incuded Matsuri, Lemongrass, Zorba's, Lebanese Taverna, Baba's Kitchen, Kabab Stop, Tortilleria Sinaloa, Koba Cafe, Ellicott Mills Brewing Company, and Carl Reefer's Bar and Grill. The crowd also enjoyed (and even participated in) entertainment acts by the Culkin School of Irish Dance, Jim Eagan and Ken Kolodner, and Sankofa Dance Theater. All told, it was a lively evening with fun being had by all!

GPP wishes to thank all its guests, sponsors, and volunteers for their generosity and support. All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to supporting Baltimore International Camp 2009 and enriching the lives of Baltimore's youth. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at next year's fundraiser!
